If you live in these states, prepare for more copper copper snakes
This emerging bug is aligned with the Copperhead Serpent Couplings season, experts warn.

If you see a copper copper snake, "Lift slowly and give the serpent a room," he advises. "They normally hit only if they feel threatened or hunt."
Smith says that if you see more copper snakes than usual, "You can drop traps or use a repellent snake to deter these snakes from your garden."
