Matt Evans the Smithsonian National Zoo told ABC 7 that with so many cicadas for taking,You can see more copper snakes. "It's a distinct possibility that you could get in touch with [Copperhead Snakes] more if they get on food," he said. "So I think it's something that could be different and why people could see them during the day."

EntomologistRyan Smith, aPest control expert, said that Cicadas is a snack for many species of snakes, but the brood X emergence lined up mainly with the Copperhead Snake couplings season. With food at the moment, copper copper snakes can focus on coupling.

And that does not only mean that you will see more short-term snakes. "The food source readily available in the spring can lead to more copper reproduction than usual, which could lead to a larger amount of young people in the fall," saysEd Spicer, CEO ofPest Strategies.

These snakes are venomous, but their bites are rarely fatal for humans, spy notes. EntomologistDavid Price, Technical DirectorMosquito Joe, aNeighborhood society, says you are most likely to meet snakes at night or shortly after a rain when it's hot and humid. If you see a copper copper snake, "Lift slowly and give the serpent a room," he advises. "They normally hit only if they feel threatened or hunt."

Smith says that if you see more copper snakes than usual, "You can drop traps or use a repellent snake to deter these snakes from your garden." It notes that you should also be prepared for other predators that you might see more time they try to enter the Cicada festival, including birds, lizards and squirrels. The price adds that the raccoons, the opossums and even your own pets are also trying to nibble on the Cicada carnage.

The cicadas are defined to emerge in 15 US states. Residents should therefore be aware of copper snakes that could follow. Read it to find out if you live in one of the states that can deal with a multitude of parasites.
