A type of LOX has been recalled.
On August 23, the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) announced that Loki Fish Company recalled his 4 oz.Packages of Keta Salmon LOX.
The assigned LOX, which was packed in the plastic on a coating board, can be identified by UPC Number 92103 00111 and the words "Wild Keta Lox, Loki Fish Co., Seattle, WA" printed on the package. No better per date is indicated on the products concerned.

The fish can be contaminated by the Listeria.
The reminder was launched after an inspection of the FDA to a packaging facility that the uses of the company revealed that the fish can be contaminated byListeria monocytogenes.
"Loki has ceased the production, sales and distribution of Keta Lox and Loki will continue to investigate what caused the problem," says the company.
Listeria can cause serious health problems.
While Loki had not received any complaints of disease or injury related to the consumption of the LOX concerned at the time when the reminder was announced, Listeria is associated with serious health risks.
According to disease control and prevention centers (CDC),Listeria can cause fever and diarrhea when the infection is contained in the intestine, and can also result in symptoms such as headache, muscle pain, confusion, loss of equilibrium, stiffness with neck and convulsions in people otherwise healthy. In addition to these symptoms, the condition can cause a miscarriage, a Mornebirth and a pre-term delivery in pregnant women and can cause a potentially fatal infection in newborns.
In the elderly and immunocompromised persons, listeriosis - the infection caused by the Listeria - is more likely to cause serious health problems or to prove fatal. The CDC reports that about 16% of 1,600 people diagnosed a listeriosis each yeardie of the condition.
If you have the recalled Lox at home, do not eat it.
If you are in possession of the recalled Lox, "Please do not consume it, and delete it immediately", recommends Loki.
