Sign surprising You could have a heart attack, study says
Talk of a change in the next reading of the blood pressure in the doctor.
Monitoring your blood pressure is an important tool to prevent some of the most common killers of heart disease in the United States, heart attack and stroke, according to theUS Centers for control and disease prevention- All that is associated with high blood pressure.A third of the population suffers fromHypertension. Most people tend to measure their blood pressure on an arm. However, new research has revealed that "robust evidence" that are based on a reading of an arm could be a deadly mistake.Read more information and to ensure your health and health of others, do not miss theseSure sign that you have "Long" Covid and may even know.
Get your blood pressure checked in both arms, advises study
A comprehensive meta-analysis of 24 studies published in the journalHypertensionurges the importance of taking readings of blood pressure on both arms, confirming a difference in the two is linked to an increased risk of heart attack, stroke and death.
"We have long known that a blood pressure difference between the two arms is linked to the results of poorer health. The large numbers involved in interrups-IPD study help us understand this further," lead author Mr. Chris Clark, clinical Senior lecturer at the University of Exeter Medical School in the UK said in astatement accompanying. "It tells us that the greater the difference in blood pressure between the arms, the greater the cardiovascular risk is important, it is essential to measure both arms to establish patients at risk significantly."
Blood pressure increases and decreases in a cycle with each pulse and is measured in millimeters of mercury units (mmHg). There are two figures offered during a read, with the upper reading (systolic) representing the maximum blood pressure and the lower value (diastolic) blood pressure is the minimum. High blood pressure (hypertension alias) is indicated by a high systolic blood pressure.
"A significant difference between the measurements of systolic blood pressure in both arms could indicate a narrowing or stiffening of the arteries, which can affect blood flow," explain the accompanying study materials. "These arterial changes are recognized as another risk marker for heart attack, stroke or death later early, and should be considered for treatment."
According to the findings of researchers, each MMHG difference was found between the two arms, a raised risk of 10 years predicted new angina, heart attack or stroke, occurring one percent; New angina, heart attack or stroke.

What discuss with your doctor
How this new research impact on you? "Patients who require a check of blood pressure should now expect this to be checked in both arms at least once," says Dr. Clark.
