An incredible side effect to shout at the top of your lungs, said a study

Scientists learn why positive cries are in fact complex forms of social link.

If you have already been visited by a spider or a snake, chances you have let out a good cry. This is normal, of course, as psychologists have long shown that shouting is a mechanism by which we arealert the others that we are in danger. But screaming with fear, as you would while visiting a haunted house, is not the only kind of human beings. After all, we are known to shout during football matches, in music concerts and when we are committed or accepted at the college.

What is the purpose of these different types of cries? According to a new study conducted by researchers at the University of Zurich and published in the journalPLOS BiologyThere are actually several types of distinct cries that we issue who serve totally different objectives and that science of screaming is much more complex than so far understood. In fact, there are positive side effects associated with certain types of cries. There are actually six different cries types

According to the researchers, there are six "distinct types emotionally" of cries that humans use: cries who transmit "pain, anger, fear, pleasure, sadness and joy". Equally interesting is the fact that others are able to hear, treat and identify the different types of cries. However, humans are able to successfully identify certain types of screams better than others. Happy Cree are more "efficient" cries

In the study, the researchers concluded that the cries that transmit more positive emotions are much more easily transformed by others as a form of communication. "We were surprised by the fact that the listeners responded faster and precisely, and with a higher neuronal sensitivity, to non-alarming and positive positive call calls than alarming cries",SASCHA FRÜHOLZ, Ph.D., Professor at the University of Zurich Department of Psychology: Cognitive and Affective Neurosciences, noted in the studyRelease.

In other words: if you shout with joy or pleasure vs angry or pain, someone else can detect whether it is joy or pleasure, while the anger shouts from pain Vs tends to seem more similar.

Why is it in fact surprising

To date, little research has been made in the science of positive screams and scientists have long assumed that the negative cries would be more important for human survival. "People usually say that the Cree has evolved during evolution because of the powerful signal to tell another person, there is something dangerous in the environment. There is a threat and we have to leave because that could cause damage ",noted in a radio interview.

But human beings have changed over time. "The common threats of danger that animals present in their natural environments, they do not really occur in human environments," continued Früholz. "We believe that positive emotions are much more relevant for humans because they are much more able to regulate social interactions."

So when you cry, you link to other people

According to researchers, positive screams are actually contagious and disseminate positivity.

"A person begins to shout. The other person hears the cry and then probably feel the same kind of joy and cries with other people," said Frühholz. "And we think that these positive cries really have a function of creating social bonds between people."
