The Mermaid Inn (New York)
The East Village restaurant can accommodate 116 people (80 inside the dining room, 20 in the garden, and 16 others on the sidewalk) officially closed after 17.5 years. The restaurant has been managed byDanny Abrams Cindy Smith and his partner, who welcomed more than 850 000 people and paid more than 15 million in salaries to its staff of over 2000 employees over the years. Beach Street Grill (San Francisco)

"It is with great sadness that we announce the closure of the restaurant 108," reads the restaurantInstagram post. "Because of the negative consequences of the global pandemic, especially the drastic reduction in the number of international tourists visiting Copenhagen, we concluded that it is no longer economically sustainable to continue to operate 108 in the current location. "
Dominque Ansel Bakery (Los Angeles)
Dominque Ansel, best known for his invention of the cronut (a donut and a hybrid high) officiallyclosed his bakery in Los Angeles.
"During the pandemic, we had to make hard choices and also have had to make peace with not having a choice sometimes," wrote in an AnselPost on Instagram. "We now join the list of victims of Covid, alongside our peers respected in the industry.
