On the one hand, there is often a line around the block just to enter! Yet Costco Shoppers will need to get used to major changes. Free samples, for example, might not be back, at least not soon. Yes, the samples in stores are a great way to get some snacks while shopping (and for the store to add more items to your cart). But it's not exactly the most sanitary, that's whyCostco has suspended free samples during the pandemic. Having a food preparation in store is sufficiently risky, then there is the fact that people will have to take their masks to enjoy samples. The worst, however, could be that many customers leave the sample cups or toothpicks in their trolleys, rather than putting them in the trash of the store, exposing the workers to potential bacteria when they have to choose the bin.

At Costco, a Cashier Front-End assistant will take the items in your cart, will put them on the grocery belt and give them into your basket on the other side of the registry. But this is almost impossible while social distance, not to mention the fact that the system adds another person affecting each article in the equation. Do not be surprised if you have to load and unload your own items to Costco in the coming weeks.

Membership cards on the grocery belt

Costco Cashiers must analyze your membership card before you can remind you. Many customers will leave their adhesion cards on the carrying belt, whether in the corner of the belt divider or on their articles. To minimize the key, employees may scan your card while you hold it instead. In this way, they do not have to touch the card, and your card will not be at risk of all bacteria at the belt and its divisors.
