Dole issued a recall of its summer salad kit endless because it could containundeclared allergens fish and egg, accordingA notice from the FDA. Anyone who is allergic to an allergy to one or two can have a serious reaction if the product is consumed.
The kit includes Swiss cheese, sunflower seeds, romaine lettuce, red cabbage, summer dressing, herbs and spices, artisan style croutons and carrots. But the dressing and toppings that go inside the package were initially recalled for another product Dole inadvertently used during a part of the production of salad. No information on how the error was discovered was given, but no illnesses or allergic reactions have been reported, the notice said. The purple and orange packages were distributed in 17 states, including Arizona, California, Colorado, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, Mississippi, North Dakota, the Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wisconsin. They have a "best by" date01-26-21and an UPC code of0-71430-01073-0.
"No other Dole product is included in the recall," said the notice. "Consumers who have a remaining productshould not consume it, but rather discard it. "
