TheDisease and Prevention Control Centers (CDC) investigation into an epidemic of e. coli that caused 16 diseases, nine hospitalizations and death in five states. So far, no food has been linked to the case and no reminder has been issued.
"CDC is concerned about the growing number of serious illnesses and hospitalizations in this epidemic," says the organization in aNotice of inquiry posted on its website February 2. It takes about two to four weeks to connect a disease to an Epidemic of E. coli, but only three to four symptoms to start.The first person has sick December 23, 2020, and from the cases startedeverything across the country. In total, six people were sick in Arkansas, five in Oklahoma, two in Virginia, two in Washington and one in New York.
The symptoms of E. coli infection include diarrhea for more than three days without improvement, a fever greater than 102 degrees Fahrenheit, extreme vomiting, as well as dehydration and dry mouth, vertigo and not urinate. The CDC says that if you have any of these symptoms, write what you have eaten in the week before getting sick, report your illness to your local health service or state and answer their questions.
The CDC also recommends washing utensils, surfaces and your hands often to avoid getting sick of e. coli. Wash the "fruits and vegetables before eating, cutting or peeling" and keep stable foods from the shelf separate objects that need to be cooked, like raw meat, poultry and seafood. Make sure that The food is cooked at a high temperature that will kill germs. And finally, refrigerate foods that can become bad quickly.
