7,464 packets of this snack are urgently recalled from Kroger's stores
Espresso beans covered with dark chocolate were sold in 30 states.
More than 7,000 units of espresso beans covered with dark chocolate and showcase are recalled because they could contain nuts, according toA notice posted by the FDA. Anyone consumes beans and has an allergy or sensitivity to this nut could have a serious or fatal allergic reaction.
Recall espresso beans are located in 12 ounce transparent plastic bathtubs with a green leaf on the label. They were sold in Kroger shops like Arlan's Dillions, food for less Fry Food Stores, Fred Meyer, Mariano, Ralphs, Chicago Rondain and Smiths from March 3, 2020, in 30 states. The company has published the recall after an investigation revealed that bad label was used in the production process. "Nut-containing products have been packed in a container that the upper label lists black chocolate espresso beans and the lower label lists dark chocolate nuts," says the notification.
The tubs of the reminder have an UPC number of0 72488 99868 1 and a number of777739. If you have these espresso beans covered with dark chocolate, you should throw them now or send them back to your place of purchase for a full refund.
