Why you should stop eating spinach now

We hate having to say something bad about spinach, but unfortunately, the smack discussion is completely justified - and necessary.

Due to a potential contamination of Listeria, Wegmans, Amy's cuisine and Terra FINA recalled more than 21 products that contain leafy green over the last four days. Targeted products include spinach dips, frozen spinach and frozen dishes that include Veggie.

Although none of the companies are aware of a remembered product disease, they take the necessary precautionary measures on the basis of the advice of contamination they have received from their various vegetable providers.

According to disease control and prevention centers (CDC), Listeria is a serious infection to which pregnant women, newborns and adults with weakened immune systems are the most likely. However, it is possible that anyone is infected. Common symptoms include fever, muscle pain, diarrhea and other gastrointestinal symptoms. It is important to ask a doctor if you think you are infected.
