A new study suggests that this popular diet can increase weight loss

What did the study drive?

A group of 95 men and women who were overweight or obese and aged 30 to 68 were divided into two groups. A group was responsible for consuming 1.5 ounces of mixed nuts while the other was told to have a Bretzel snack.It is important to note that both snacks contained the same amount of calories.

Each participant has followed a hypocalore weight loss diet, which means that they have reduced their caloric consumption of about 500 calories daily and focused on the consumption of more food with a high calorie density for about three month. The study ended with an isocalore weight maintenance program of 12 weeks.

The result? As it turns out, the two groups have demonstrated considerable weight loss over the first 12 weeks, however, those that continued to eat nuts in the weight maintenance part of the study allowed 'Increase satiety levels. The researchers believe that it is largely the reason why the group ate tree nutsAlso showed better weight management compared to the group that ate Bretzel snack. There was also a significantly lower abandonment rate in the tree nut group than in the Bretzel group.
