Making iced tea may seem common knowledge, but you can blame a lot harder with this method.
Is there anything better than a large glass of iced tea on a hot summer day? You can not beat this refreshing taste, and this is something special to enjoy in addition to basic water when temperatures rise.
To help you make the best frozen tea and what you should have to do and should not do when you are brewing a lot, we called Marcos Ladd, the bartender toCleo South Beach In Miami, Florida, to give us a glimpse of how you can make perfect frozen tea at home with a simple recipe. Cheers!
How do you make the perfect glass of iced tea?
"The key to the manufacture of perfect iced tea is always using very hot water to steep tea tabacs. In doing so, you make sure they release the complete aromatic flavor," says LADD.
He suggests letting the water boil for 10 seconds before pouring it into a pitcher with tea bags.
"Another useful tip when the perfect frozen tea is to add a pinch of bicarbonate to the pitcher before pouring into boiling water to steep the tabacs," he says. "This neutralizes tannins released in the pitcher, which allows him to be clear and not bitter."
Ladd also advises that if you make iced tea with arare tea, and not traditional black tea, then you want to make sure you reduce the amount ofsugar You add because it overpower the natural flavor and aroma of tea.

What do you need for this icy tea recipe?
To prepare the perfect iced tea, you will need:
- 3 cups of boiling water
- 6-8 tea bags
- 3/4 cup of sugar
- 5 cups of fresh water
- Sprinkle with baking soda
LADD provided instructions on how you can easily make the perfect frozen tea at home. This recipe will give 1/2 gallon of frozen tea and you can always double or triple the recipe in bigger lots for your nexta barbecue or pool party.
How to make iced tea
- Sprinkle soda bicarbonate into an empty glass pitcher. Place the tea bags in the pitcher and pour boiling water over the bags, filling the pitcher.
- Cover pitcher with a lid or a small plate, and leave the bags steep for 10-15 minutes.
- Remove and discard the bags.
- Stir in the sugar until dissolution.
- Pour in cool water.
- Stir.
- Refrigerate.
