Here's how to make a perfect omelette

"I like to put a drop of thick cream in the mix," says Vargas. "It adds a little extra fat and that's better." For this omelette, I took twoeggs With a "drop" of thick cream, assimilated about 1 teaspoon.

Pour the egg mixture on a nonstick saucepan

Heat a nonstick saucepan over medium heat. Add some butter (about 1/2 tablespoon) and move it to coer. VARGAS specifically recommends usingclarified butter, if you have it. "In this way, it does not burn it," he says. "I like the omelette to be a beautiful yellow color without stains burned or brown."

Add to Filling

When the egg mixture is cooked around the edges (about 1 minute), add your fillings. "My favorite omelette has caramelized onions and pellet cheese," explains Varas. "It's a pretty classic French omelette." Try spinach, cherry tomatoes and feta cheese for another effortless combination.

You do not know how to caramelize onions? It's easy! Slice a thin onion thin. With very low heat, climb 1 tablespoon of butter, then add the onion slices. Stir in continuously low for at least 20 minutes.

Return the omelette

Using a spatula, bend the eggs in half. If the egg mixture is not cooked in the middle, everything is fine! Vargas even recommends, saying that the omelette should be "kind and wet". In total, the omelette should cook for 3 minutes.

Enjoy salt, pepper and chopped parsley

Slide the omelet on a plate and serve immediately. For a touch of extra flavor, sprinkle on coarse coarse salt and pepper. If you have it, have a fewparsley And sprinkle on the top.

  1. Whisk the eggs and thick cream in a small bowl.
  2. Heat a nonstick saucepan over medium heat. Melt the butter on the pan.
  3. Pour into the egg mixture and cook eggs for 1 to 2 minutes - or until eggs are halfway cooked.
  4. Place your desired fills in the middle of the omelette.
  5. Using a spatula, bend the omelette in half. Cook for extra 30 seconds, then slide the omelet into a plate. Seers immediately.
