Chai poached pears

Serves 6

Ingredients

8 cups of water
8 black tea bags
1/2 cup pure maple syrup
1/4 cup of coconut sugar
1 cinnamon stick
1 tablespoon pumpkin pie
2 full anise stars
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
6 mature but firm wraps
Whipped cream
2 c. Soup, slightly grilled and chopped pistachys

How to do it

  1. Combine the water, tea bags, maple syrup, coconut sugar, cinnamon stick, pumpkin pump spice, star anise and vanilla extract in a Great saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil, then cover and reduce heat to a drink. Strong on low heat for 30 minutes. Suffer the mixture through a fine mesh screen, then bring the liquid back into the pan.
  3. Peel the pears and check them from the bottom, leaving the upper rod intact. Place them in the pot and bring back to boil tea.
  4. Pow the pears over medium-low heat for 30 to 40 minutes, until tender. Using a slit spoon, remove the cooking liquid pears and place them in portion bowls. Increase heat to high and bring the liquid to a boil. Boil for 15 minutes or until the liquid is reduced to a syrup.
  5. Turn the syrup on the pears and in the bottom of the bowls. Serve with a spoon of whipped cream and a pinch of grilled pistachios.
