As a registered dietitian, passionate glossfit, trail runner and busy, active,protein bars are a convenient and portable option when I do not have time tomeal meal and cook. But eat protein bars as a meal replacement is not the only reason they are one of my staple diet.

The best protein bar for me might not be the best for you or the next person. It depends on what your goal is to eat a protein bar.

So how do you know what protein bar is better? This usually takes a bit of trial and error and knows the type of eating pattern you follow and what your daily macros are welcome. (Keep reading for my specific brand recommendations below.)

The best protein bar for herbal eaters.
