McDonald's most emblematic article will probably be more expensive, say operators

The prices will have to climb to compensate for salaries and the benefits of superior workers, because the chain is still fighting with hiring.

Prices at McDonald have beengradually increasing for yearsBut because of the highly experienced labor shortages in the Fast Food industry, we can expect the trend to continue this year. Popular items like the Big Mac will probably get even more expensive than operators recognize the need to increase hourly salaries and benefits to attract and retain employees.

The National Owners Association (NOA), an independent group of McDonald operators, sent a letter to its members Last week, with the recommendation to "do whatever you need" to keep their restaurants in staff, even if it means that it means to increase the price of menus accordingly.

"Price increases occur wherever you look and will continue while employers transmit these additional costs," said the letter. "We will do the same thing. A great Mac will be more expensive."

In order to recruit back workers, the individual McDonald operators offer incentives such as connection bonuses and paid employment interviews, but clearly, these tactics do not work, said the NOA letter. The blame is placed on unemployment benefits, which allow the minimum wage workers to earn more money by staying at home than if they were working on demanding work as a McDonald server.

McDonald employees say it is high time that the channel increased its hourly remuneration for workers who are the basis of the success of society. The fight for an association of $ 15, formed by those who are fighting for a minimum wage of $ 15, plans to put additional pressure on the company the day before its shareholding meeting this month, byoutput of their jobs by McDonald in 15 major cities of the country.
