It started when a girl named Amber Robinson published an amazing photographer on Instagram of her parents and mentioned their heartwarming story in the legend. The platform of social media was suddenly overloaded with this love story as life indeed this couple is the ultimate goal of marriage. Wanda Brewington, aged 67 and Marvin Brewington, 70 years old living a happily married life for over 47 years now.
Wanda and Marvin studied together in Livingston College in Salisbury, North Carolina. After a few years, the couple married in 1970 in Wilkesboro, North Carolina, a place where Wanda spent his childhood. It was a yard wedding celebration with relatives and loved ones invited.
In a few years after their marriage, Marvin and Wanda had to rush to a doctor when tests showed that the young man was suffering from multiple sclerosis. Throughout this, Wanda was standing right next to him while Marvin was cured of the disease. In 1987, Marvin was diagnosed with colon cancer, the couple faced all the ups and downs together. And in 2013, doctors informed that Marvin suffers from prostate cancer, however, this was not all, and next year, Wanda suffered from Parkinson's disease.
"Our love for each other and faith in God. We made a vow on our wedding day, through sickness and health, and have always been determined that we can and we can overcome anything. The days that one of us is down, the other, the other approach: "The couple described their association is what kept them through the hard times and all the health problems. "The secret to a lasting marriage is the truth, honesty and not let the little things bring you down. Above all, never forget to laugh and have fun. It's hard work, but it's always worth the work it takes: "The Brewingtons shared how they kept their life to get on track with so much respect for each other.
"I learned that love is not always easy, but it is always worth the work. I really am trying to mold me as a woman and mother after the example that my parents taught me. Honesty and communication, never go to bed upset and find a way to supplement your partner. The best lesson of love that my parents gave me is that saying "I love you" is the smallest expression of love that you can give to your partner. Do things that make your partner feel loved is going much further than to say the words, "said Amber Robinson, Mr. and Mrs. Brewington.
"The glue that holds our marriage together is a strong belief in God and our love for each other. We both also excellent parents models. They had much harder than us, and we know that they were able to do with what they had, surely we can, "honesty and love of the couple towards each other and their life became an inspiration for the rest of the cancer patients.
