Flea markets have often given people the chance to discover things likely to change your life. You can find things you can never imagine in a market.
Walter Brown, a retired army officer was in a flea market with his wife when his head was surprised to see the country's flag on a stall on the market. And then his decision to buy the flag would change everything because it was not a normal flag.
The flag did not belong on the market and its origins would change myself forever, as long as the next time Walter Brown would think twice before entering a flea market.
Brown
Walter Brown was a retired military officer and a real patriot residing in Texas. He loved his country and would be ready to do anything. His wife Lanie has always supported Walter in all the decisions he made. But a decision in this story would start a different action in the life of the couple.
Outside
Walter and Lanie needed a case for their Walther P22. They decided to pick up the case on the flea market, in the hope of having a chance to find it. I do not know that they would find something so unique and special that day.
Lost on the market
When visiting the flea market, people are generally very relocious to look at the different things available on the market that thought to find something of a single flag hardly crosses the mind. Walter too, was not aware of what he would find on the market.
The flag
During the search for the case, Walter's eyes have noticed an American flag abandoned on a stall. But the flag was not like another flag. There was something special about it. And it was very unusual that even the people who manage the flea market were not aware of the single article they were in stock.
Yahne Fred
Yahne, the seller of the flea market stall, had noticed the unique flag by unbling his business. Yahne usually brought storage crates and sell them to the flea market. But he really had no idea how the flag came to his case.
Diverted
Yahne had noticed the flag while unbling his box and had held him on one side separately, with the intention of looking later, but he is busy from the other thing of his stall he had forgotten the flag.
To buy
Walter was an ex-army man, he knew the value of a country flag and therefore decided to buy it and keep it safely with himself. But as soon as he picked up the flag to take a look at it, he knew there was something unusual about it, which made him stand out from all the other flags of America.
Slipped out of mind
"I did not know what it was when I treated the boxes. I really wanted to see what it was, "said Yahne. But when Walter came to ask for the price of the flag, Yahne was just excited for the sale he was going to do and quoted $ 15. but Walter would not agree .
Minimal cost
Walter asked Yahne to look closely at the flag, and then think about the price. Yahne noticed that the flag had stains and doodles in the ink and that's why he reduced the price at only $ 5. He had indeed given too little price for something that would yield such an incredible story.
Small messages
When Walter took a look at the flag, he saw that there was something manuscript on the flag. There were small messages written by foreigners, for a stranger. Walter took the flag at home to investigate further on the uniqueness and history of the flag.
Ignoring
Walter was happy to have found a unique single country flag for such a nominal cost. But he was not aware of the story of the uniqueness of the flag. Soon, he would see that the Marines gathered in front of his house when they knew the flag that Walter had now owned.
Serve the country
Walter Brown had been in the army and had served the country for quite long. In fact, his son-in-law was also in the American maritime body. The family had the true patriotic fervor in them and that's why the flag attracted Walter's attention in the first place.
Pushed
Walter was aware that the scribble on the flag was really unusual and unique. But what was it who pushed the whole of the marine force gather around his house? Was Walter and his family in a kind of danger?
Secret?
It seemed that there was a secret that was hidden inside these messages. What else could it exist that all messages have been addressed to one person? There was certainly something strange on the flag that the marine officers came to have a word with Walter.
To help
Walter had read all the messages and knew he would need a person's help to determine what to do on the flag. He knew that the flag did not belong on the flea market or with him, his place is elsewhere.
Son
Walter described his son-in-law and explained everything he had read on the flag. He knew that his son-in-law was the right person to involve and ask for help because he was also an American marine officer and would have information that would help obtain knowledge about the flag.
Address
All scribbled messages on the flag were addressed to one person, named Fred. The question was now the one that was Fred and why were the messages addressed to him writing on a flag? Do people try to hide a secret and transfer information to Fred through the flag?
Amazed
Walter's son-in-law came home as soon as he received Walter's message and saw the flag. He was taken aback when he read what everything was written on the flag. He still worked in the marine forces and knew the importance of the text that the flag was covered.
Informed
Walter's son-in-law knew that the right thing to do would be to inform his flag officers. He immediately informed the US marine on the flag. He had told them that what kind of messages were written on the flag and officers could immediately pull the meaning of the flag.
Identity
American marine officers immediately planned a visit to the House of Walter. An officer explained to Walter that the flag belonged to a spearhead. He knew that Corporal Lance was the rank given to a specific marine officer. But what were all these messages?
Fred
Each message written on the flag was addressed to a person named Fred. Walter had questions about questions before we can land on some sort of conclusions. Why is the flag in a flea market? And why have messages been addressed to Fred written on the flag? And who was Fred? And what was so important on the flag that the marine officers entered?
The words
A message has read: "Hey cheeks, wherever you are, be sure to look at us on us." While another says, "Fred, you were a good navy and we will always remember you." And that's when the officers made the final revelation.
The truth
The American flag was not a usual flag, Walter was sure. Provides, it was a tribute flag for Fred. Each member of the Fred Unit wrote to the Navy Agent after losing his life while serving his country. And what happened next to the flag, was amazing.
Decision
Walter Brown and his family decided that, since they were the flag owners for now, they would return the flag to his legitimate owner. Even though Fred had been gone for a long time, there would have been a person from his family that the Browns could look for.
To look for
The marine officers were not allowed to flee any information about their officers to a civilian, they could not go against the rules. The Browns decided to look for Fred's family themselves. And the person to help them in this effort would be their daughter.
CATIE Brown
Walter asked his daughter to help him find Fred's family to give them an as important part of Fred's life. CATIE was a technical freak and could therefore search Fred or any member of his family on the online search database.
PATSY MACIEL
After doing in-depth research, Catie discovered a woman named Patsy Maciel who seemed to be connected to Fred in a certain way. CATIE decided to contact Patsy and make his doubts clear. A brand new story was to unfold.
Relationship
After talking to Patsy, he was revealed that she was Fred's mother. At first, she did not like Catie's interference in such a sensitive issue of her life, but when she came to know the reason why Catie had contacted her, she was touched and moving.
Planning
Catie had convinced Patsy Maciel to meet her so she could return the prayed possession of her son. But the Brown has planned something big for the mother. They decided to pay a tribute for Fred at the same place where he was buried, the Cavalry Hill cemetery in Texas.
Collected
When Maciel arrived in the cemetery, she was speechless to see that it was not just Catie who had come to meet her, but many other people. Some members of his family members and American navy officers were also gathered to pay tribute to his brave son.
Delivery
"Patsy," Lanie says, "Our family feels so honored to have been chosen to find this flag ... Thank you for sharing this piece of your boy with us." And with these words and tears in his eyes, she handed the flag to the mother of Fred Maciel.
Peace
Patsy was overwhelmed to see that so many people had gathered to show their respect to his son. She was happy to see that people had not forgotten from him or her sacrifice for the country. "I have peace in my heart. I am happy. That's all for my son. Nobody has forgotten my son. This flag will be with me until my death. It's a piece of my son I was coming back. It's a great feeling, "she says.
Lost and won
Patsy also said to all how she did not want her son to join forces. "I cried for three days to try to convince him of not" "she said. Patsy also said that she" lost this fight "since Fred finally joined the American navy.
Grateful
Patsy had indeed obliged to the brunette family because they actually made the effort to find her and give her the flag. "For eight years, I was a case of basket. I did not know how to continue without my son, "she told Catie. And then she finally got a closure.
Exceptional
The feeling after Patsy wanted the flag was indeed very special for her. "It's a piece of my son who comes back to me," said Maciel, who lives in Harris County. "It's great and I love them for that. I do not have my son but at least I have that. "
ULOGY
After Fred's death accident, Ted Poe gave an elimination of the Congress House for Fred. "Lance Corporal Maciel We will remember, we will always remember your fight against these international law. Maciel died to help establish democracy in a land far away. You know, some causes are worthy of dying. And freedom is one of these causes ... that this dedication of the American Hero to his country continues to light our dreams and our ambitions of a free person. So Semper Fi, launches Caporal Maciel, Semper Fi. "
Unfinished life
"Maciel in his 20th birthday had already exposed a life of sacrifice and selfishness. The magnitude of the tragedy does not become worse when you take into account the Maciel life had before it when it was extinct so suddenly. Maciel had to go home after the January 30 elections in Iraq and planned to marry his fiancée, Jamie Hommel, "said PoE.
Faded away
After the tragic accident in which Fred lost his life, all his belongings were returned home. But Patsy did not even know that the Flag Tribute that his comrades had done for him, was also part of the property of Fred. So there was no chance that Patsy was sackinging about it.
Years later
It was only after nine long years that Catie contacted Patsy and said, "I have something Fred's I want to give you." It took the flag nine years to reach Walter, then finally to the legitimate owner, the mother of Fred herself.
Bind
The story shows us how every person who serves their respective countries shares a close link with each other. Because of this obligation, all marine officers gathered both to fulfill their duty to hand over the Fred's mother's flag, although it was after nine years.
