The fashion industry is nowhere where it must be with regard to equality and representation, but these models are proof that one day we can hope to get there.


Being a model is difficult enough, and this trip is ten times harder when you are a transgender person. Nevertheless, many trans pioneers fought against chances and adversity to make a more inclusive fashion industry and respectful LGBTQs for future generations. The industry is nowhere where it must be with regard to equality and representation, but these models are proof that one day we can hope to get there.

1. Valentina Sampaio
