Chocolate is a guilty pleasure that most of us have. And many of us look at Google feeling impotent, with questions like "Why do I crave the chocolate?" Or "Why am I addicted to chocolate?" Do not worry, you're not alone. Even if you are not sweet by nature, chocolate has that sweet way to make you signs with cravings before leaving you in a deep drop of sugar.

From nutritional deficiencies to cultural myths, here are all the reasons why your body longs so much that snicker bar.

1. A myth of premenstrual syndrome

Because society tells us that we need it when we are with premenstrual syndrome. Did you know that the only scientific test behind that is the fact that chocolate has been marketed over the years? Therefore, we think that "we need" at that time of the month, all thanks to the misinformation and the cultural conditioning that has been communicated.

The chemical tryptophan (the amino acid of the turkey that makes you overload you on Thanksgiving) is also present in chocolate and prepares the way for serotonin.

The chocolate-covered strawberries are famous for their seduction, and there is a reason behind that. Chocolate contains theobromine, which is a chemical known to excite the heart rate and encourage excitement. A meal that makes us want to become crazy is obviously going to be addictive ...

This is one of the main reasons why women with children can sometimes eat a wild amount of junk food and still not feel satisfied. Eating chocolate during pregnancy can be really beneficial for you, just make sure you have many flavonoids in what you consume, instead of a cheap candy bar.

A natural chemist of the brain called ENKEFALINA is a great reason why chocolate feels so addictive for humans. In a study with rats, rodents consumed M & MS and experienced a large increase in chemist, which triggers opioid receptors in the same exact way that severe narcotics as morphine.

12. Habitual

Many of us have a ritual dessert. We like to give us a pleasure at the end of a long day, and why not? The essence of waiting for chocolate at the same time every day will only make it want it anymore. If you always take a chocolate ice cream ball after dinner, consider switching to a new habit, such as green tea or fruit.

13. Low levels of blood sugar

If you often expect a lot of time between meals, or jump all together, those crazy crazy cravings can begin to appear. The sugar gives you fast energy, but it is fleeting. Instead, eat foods with a high fiber content that maintain blood sugar under control, such as oatmeal.
