Here's what your sleep habits reveal from you

How many of you are really concerned about the quality of sleep?

We are all a bit paranoid about our health in this non-post-pandemic world. You have probably used the disinfecting hands more over the last year you have before your life. We wash hands more frequently now and we are very in tune with what can be interpreted as the first symptoms of COVID. Everyone is on the lookout for coughing, fever and general cold symptoms. We are also collectively looking for fatigue and bodyils. But how many of you are really concerned about the quality of sleep?

We are all aware that a person needs about 8 hours of sleep every day to work properly, so it's the number we are aiming for. But apart from the time spent in bed, the quality of sleep is what matters the most. Some of us can operate less than 8 hours of sleep and feel good and the others go to 10 to 12 hours of bed and always wake up tired. So what's new with that?

Struggle to fall asleep

Go to bed at a reasonable time, but spend hours looking at the ceiling, trying to fall asleep? The reason for this could be too many stimulants. Many of us have coffee daily and there are still many smokers in the world. Caffeine and nicotine are considered stimulants, which can stand at night. So, if you can not stop smoking yet, try at least to avoid these things in the second half of the day to fall asleep. And the same thing for tea, after all, it also contains caffeine. You can not have a cup of black tea in the evening and be really surprised why you can not fall asleep. If you have to have a cup of tea to relax, go to tea without herbal caffeine.

Can not fall asleep without the TV

We say television, but we hear podcasts, strong music, phone and any other type of distraction that you used to tire and fall asleep. It's something anxious and nervous usually done. They use distractions to avoid being left alone with their thoughts. The trend towards overrun and worry prevents millions of people awake at night. The elimination of the stress of your life is the best way to get this good sleep that we all need. But unfortunately eliminating stress is easier said than done. Try herbal remedies or consult your doctor about your anxiety and sleep problems.

Sleep too much and always wake up tired

Is there such a thing too much sleep? We do not really know, certainly not in healthy individuals. If you find that you can sleep during the weekend and you always feel as if you need to sleep more, it could be a sign of a bigger health problem or an underlying condition. A lot of time the thyroid problems cause people sleep more than usual and always feel tired after. So, if it seems familiar to you - you'd better register for your doctor's visit.

Wake up in the middle of the night

There are many people who fall asleep quite quickly but wake up in the middle of the night and can not make me sleep, or just wake up several times a night. There are many reasons for that. Some are more obvious than others. A lot of time people wake up at night to use the bathroom, which could mean bladder problems. Other times, the reasons are less obvious and more elusive. You could suffer from an agitated leg syndrome that wakes up at night or you could suffer from sleep apnea and I do not even know. You could be snore and your own snoring awake you, but you will never know what it was unless you share the bed with a partner.

Sleep hygiene with rescue

If you want to be healthy and you wake up well and refreshed, there are some points to consider. First, set a sleep schedule for yourself - go to bed at the same time every day. A good routine will do wonders for your health and for your sleep. Remove the screens and gadgets from your bedroom and typically try not to watch the screens for at least one hour before bedtime, preferably more. Instead, you can read a book or take a good relaxation bath. Keep your room dark, fresh and quiet. Studies show that bright lights like street lamps that you can see of your window or moonlight can have a negative impact on your sleep, so invest in good electricity curtains. Sounds can wake up too, so get a white noise machine or earplugs. And finally, keep the thermostat on the bottom, we sleep better at low temperatures.
