The cold weather and the glacial wind is not great for our skin and can let it feel dry, flaky and irritated. Fortunately, there are some hacks that you can use to enjoy this season and protect your skin at the same time.
Is it just me or everyone looks forward to winter the second Halloween is finished? If you are like me, you are probably dreamed of snow, mittens, hot hats and scarves, fairy and Christmas decorations. And although all these things are incredible and that the reason we look forward to winter, cold weather and glacial wind is not ideal for our skin and can leave the feeling of feeling dry, flaking and irritated . Fortunately, there are some hacks that you can use to enjoy this season and protect your skin at the same time.
1. Exfoliate everything
Exfoliation is essential with respect to soft skin. Exfoliate your body at least once a week, pay special attention to dry and fluid skin on your knees and elbows. Try to find a natural scrub containing sugar or salt and moisturizing oils like coconut or shea butter. This will ensure that your skin will be exfoliated and hydrated at the same time. Same thing for your lips, no one wants to see chapped lips.
2. Hydrate your whole body
We all know that we have to have a hydrate but few of us really do it properly. Not only do you need to put a moisturizer on your face and your neck, but you should also put lotion for your body on your body. But did you know that there is a good time to moisturize? It's not just every time your hands are dry. In fact, the best time to moisturize, just after you have washed your hands or take a shower and that your skin is always wet. Just tap me with a towel, then put the moisturizer on.
3. Get a humidifier
You may think that humidifiers are only for plants that, but that's not true. There is little moisture in the air in winter and can dry our skin quite quickly. So, get a humidifier and turn to keep your skin feeling soft and hydrated when you are at home.
4. Get a water-based face cream
You may think that the colder months mean that you should get a thicker and emerging moisturizer to better protect you from the cold. But the fact is that, while the facial creams containing oil will maintain the appearance of smooth skin, they are not really moisturizing your skin as well. They are perfect for the shine on imperfections, but if you want to hydrate and moisturize your skin from the inside, you must get a water-based face cream.
5. Lower the temperature of the water
While the hot showers feel incredible this period of the year, do not make too hot water. Why? Because when the water is very hot, it can actually eliminate natural oils that your skin produces and dries your skin, and we try a little to prevent that, remember? So go get hot or lukewarm. And if you want soak in a hot water and moisturize your skin - add oats to your bath, your skin will thank you. And do not stay in the bath for more than 20 minutes.
6. Liek it
We are not talking about clothes here (even if it's a good idea too). If you suffer from dry skin in winter, you may want to try to superimpose your products. Instead of simply using a moisturizing face cream - first use a moisturizing serum and then put on the face cream. Every little gesture counts.
7. Get several hand cream tubes
Hands suffer the most in the winter. We often forget gloves, or should we take them to get something from our bag, etc. They are left without protection and dry quickly. So you constantly have a hand cream on you is a good idea. Get some tubes and put them all over your apartment: in the bath, in the kitchen, in the room. In this way, you will always remember to moisturize your hands after you wash them, washed dishes or just before going to bed. It's also a good idea to put a little tube of cream by hand in each of your handbags, so you always have with you.
8. Use light foundations
Our skin may seem a bit boring during the winter months and miss Glow in good health. So, put on the matte foundation and dry even further is not a good idea. Go for a luminous finish to retrieve this healthy glow.
