If you are a child of the 90s (you are probably), you have the chance to see a pronounced generative gap. The 2000s provided us with a group of new products, advanced technology and inventions that we did not even know that we needed. This changed our lives forever. Of course, things now compared to the difference, but they are always awesome in their own way. Just discover the gallery and get ready to feel old.
1. Dependence at Gadget.About 20 years ago, we had to use at least 5 different devices for our needs: game boys with their poor quality pixel screens and repetitive background music, Nintendo's (remember how you had to blow in our Nintendo games for their work properly?), Hit clips with clips of an ultra-low-fi mono mono songs (instead of new multifunctional iPods), tamagotchi pets or Tetris Freaking good sure! Now, any child can simply download applications and games on their smartphones, tablets or laptops (let's be honest, every child has a smartphone now).
But still, the 90-year-olds did not depend on these things. It was a lot more fun to play outside with other children! There were many amazing outdoor games to appreciate and kids tried to stay out as long as possible until the lamps are lit. Now, instead of cache, football or Simon says they stay inside playing video games on powerful gadgets.
2.Barbie and some old Disney princessesNo longer are the most popular characters in girls. More and more children today understand that the Barbie doll promotes a negative corporal image and sexist stereotypes. Its unhealthy and nonnatural body settings do not encounter reality, as well as the tiny size of Disney princesses and perfect hair every day. The characters shout "Girl, just look like this for everything you want and you get a hot guy (or prince!) You like". It is at this moment that the danger begins.
It's hard to believe, but Disney's barbies and princesses have become the real reason why a low self-esteem exists with children. Fortunately, today's children prefer more "strong and independent" female characters, such as Elsa and Anna - girls princesses with larger women's leads.
3. Brands and clothes. If you are a real child of the 90s, you probably miss your jeans Boucly or your combination with a hanging strap, flannel shirts and platform sneakers, skits, boots Dr. Martens (grunge!) Or Reebok pumps. You wore your favorite outfit for a few years in a row, and you thought you look cool!
Do you know what is cool now? The latest Children's Child Collection will not be obsolete just half year later to be gently replaced with new fashion trends. It's crazy.
4. Music.Just admit this, the music we liked was ... different. Our generation listened to Sweet songs by 'N Sync, Backstreet Boys and Hanson. We liked to watch "Spiceworld tours" exciting girlfriends in the late 90s, we liked cute and innocent Britney, not the bald. Yes, hip-hop was a hundred times better in the 90s!
Let's see what we have now. Many people sincerely hate music these days. We are too tired of Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, and a direction and rights to consider the music of this decade the worst. You know why.
5. TV shows and cartoons.Probably the best thing on the television of the 90s was the lack of reality show as Shore de Jersey. I probably remember rugs, double dare, Nick Arcade, Pete & Pete, the legends of the hidden temple and more. The television at the time was then focused on the family and had a lot of useful messages.
6. VHS bands.Children have never experienced the struggle of Wind-Up VHS bands. If you hear the unlikely noise coming from the VHS recorder, your life is over. All your episodes of preferred Alf and Simpsons are gone. Or do you remember typing a TV show that you liked on a video of the family home by accident? I still remember the angry face of my father.
7. get in touch with friends.Yes, you are used to going out with your friends for days, sleep and speak-face-to-face, not via Facebook or mobile phone (even better than messaging). You had to go to your friend's house to find out if he was at home. Is not it weird? Today's children are too spoiled with social networks and unstoppable discussions. They barely seek the smartphone screen while dragging with their friends. Do these meetings make sense?
8.Every child in the 90s dreamed of becoming frozen or piety atNickelodeon studios. If you know, what it means, you will agree that it deserves a special paragraph. The most famous game and the best nickelodeon game of all time, "Slime Time Live" has invited members select members to stand up with a chair and answer questions. If the visitor answered correctly, they would get a bucket (or more) of slime on them. In addition, any member, randomly, could be gambled in the face on live television. So crazy! But you loved him.
9. Punishment of parents.Do not forget that when you were punished by your mother and father and you said to stay in your room? You hated that. But the room of a child is no longer a soothing place and he probably has everything to entertain a child in isolation. Now, parents are trying to remove all forms of entertainment, but usually have trouble remembering each device. Punishment fails.
10. Remote Internet access.Children have no idea what I feel like waiting for the internet connection remotely. Download the whole music album via your smartphone somewhere in a dark forest? You're kidding. Disseminate endless videos with high quality cats? Forget that. AOL (America Online) was a real struggle. It took about 3 minutes to connect. When you were in the last step, you encourage. If your mother had to call a phone call, you had to wait until she hung up and you could restore the internet connection, then proceed to your favorite song to take 2 overtime. The sound of it, alone, is frustrating.
11.Was there even life beforeGoogle? When we wanted to discover anything, we asked our parents, our teachers or friends and believed them. Now it's better for Google first. Need to do research for school? Here are thousands of books - all yours. Children these days will never understand that libraries serve more goal than collecting dust particles.
