Common Misconceptions About Feminism

Feminist: a person who believes in social, political and economic equality.

At day and in modern age, we finally hear the word "feminism" in the media from time to time. It's a brilliant news. The thing we do not really understand that many is a good decent definition. There is rarely enough coverage and we mainly get things out of context, which leads to confusion and tends to bring out old memories of rumors of the past on anger, the hate of men, the bras of bra Without makeup and undeained armpits that want to govern the world. Which is certainly not what feminism is all about. However, it makes many reticing women to use the feminist word.
Lets look at the most ridiculous misconception of all - the notion that all feminists are the man hated lesbians who want to take the world. First of all, you should realize that you do not need to be anti-men to be pro-women. Think of contemporary feminism icons: Lena Dunham, Louise Bremyy, Beyonce, Caitlin Moran, Lady Gaga, Zooey Deschanel. Does one of these women seem to hate men? No, they are all connected to many men, have many male friends, dating or married with men and just worship men in general. It's not about men at all. It's a separate problem. The only reason men are entering this discussion are because they are the only other sex and they have monopolized all power for thousands of years. Feminists do not want to take anything men. They just want guys share. Why can not we be equal? We have the same education. We also have jobs. We work just as strong. Why are we treated as if we are in one way or another that men? Before anyone says that "Well, it is historically predetermined that men are the ones who work and that women stay at home" Let me remind you that the slavery historically was absolutely good until the 19th century, but we have evolved and realized this race should not be a problem and we should have equal rights. Why can not we do the same thing with sex? Women in general earn less than men. This is 2014 and yet, according to the statistical of the World Bank, only 1% of all wealth belong to women. What's new with that?
The bra comment is simply ridiculous. Nobody has ever said it was a feminist, you have to hate the bras with a passion. This is a personal preference. For me, for one, love arm of love. These are beautiful beautiful things that allow me to go down the stairs, running and jump without the discomfort of having my boobs jiggle all the time. It does not stop me from being a strident feminist. I quite appreciate the convenience of being able to dance and switch to my favorite jams without worrying about touching my face with my breasts, thank you very much.
Even goes for makeup and shaving. Nobody banned makeup and razors for feminists. Many find the comfort and pleasure of the makeup ritual and make you look like a princess or a model of pin or maybe a Gothic vampire woman. No matter what your boat. The feminist issue with makeup is the mandatory nature in which these cosmetics are presented to us in the media. The notion of makeup first and to be absolutely perfect to go to the store to buy Jam seems to be a little stupid and delusional, but many feel like they can not leave the house before putting their "face". We should not have to be perfect all the time. You do not see that men are concerned about their appearance as much, is not it? And they seem to go well. You do not see other men shouting with indignation "but James, you have not shaved and your eyebrows are everywhere! Oh my God, these are these wrinkles on your forehead? I book for Botox this weekend, we are going together, it's not a way to live. "Does ridicule do not he do it? So why do we stress us as much?
Hopefully this brief explanation has responded to some of the issues that people have on feminism and eventually helped go bankrupt from ridiculous myths about the feminist.
Feminism at its base is not an "anti" movement. It is a pro - women movement, with a basic idea of equality for all.
