Covid prevented many of us from going on the holidays and spa adventures of our wildest dreams. But you can go as indulgent at home by creating a DIY spa in your own bathroom. Define the atmosphere, provide the products and lock it from the door - things are about to get a lot more relaxation.
1. Be disconnected
The first rule of the Spa Club is to be unplugged! When we say detox, we are not just talking physically. Digital detox makes the body and mind well. This prevents us from comparing our lives with other people and allows us to live in the moment, taking into account the present. Instead, take your favorite book or put a soothing playlist. You can also look at one of your favorite guilty fun shows, if you have a configuration that allows a laptop or tablet.
2. Heating cloths beforehand
The spas never leave you a cold towel, and there is just something so soothing to wrap it in pre-heated towels. If you do not have a towel, put your towels in the dryer for 5 to 10 minutes, which should heat them. Heat a torque of tiny towels too - if you damp them a little, they can be used to open facial pores or soften cuticles.
3. Define the atmosphere with plants
Herbs and plants can make your bathroom a country of botanical wonders. Inspire a fresh garden while taking your bath and complete your treatment - it can really transport you to another world. Packets of herbs like thyme or rosemary are fantastic, but our favorite is eucalyptus. Hang a heap on your shower, which will make a high-end steam room experience.
4. Plan your beauty routine
Tools such as rollers can make you feel as if you are on a five star spa - to scratch stones, which increases traffic and gives you a natural glow. What else do you know gives you an unbeatable glow? A good dry brushing session. This form of exfoliation is luxurious in its own way - discharges dead cells and has energizing qualities. You can do it before the bath part of your spa, but make sure you take a shower from this dead skin first.
5. Define a decadent bath
The baths make your skin soft and allow you to escape in a peaceful moment of privacy. We are talking about flowers, rose petals and sliced cucumber. Line-it with candles and you can even throw essential oils such as lavender for added relaxation. Bath bombs are also a sparkling addition that we like - you can order from the line or to make yours with baking soda and some other ingredients. That being said, the salts of Epsom are a classic that never does, and you always feel relaxed.
6. Hide it
There is something about masks that just feel like the definition of personal care. Especially since they can be done while you take your bath - all the steam doing wonders for pores. The leaves of leaves and pre-formulated brands are large, but the do-it-yourself masks, which you can do with ingredients around the house, like the lawyer, matcha or banana. Mix with honey and water, and you have an automatic mask with the benefits of radiant skin! You can also apply a hair mask of these ingredients (coconut oil is also very moisturizing) or use a deep conditioner.
7. No bath? Soak these tired feet
We do not all have a bathtub with our homes. If you have a standing shower standing, consider filling a basin with a deliciously fragrant bubble bath or soaking on foot. With winter towards our way, as well as dry feet and dry feet. Stop your heels from developing dragon scales and finish soaking by deep cleaning with a pumice stone. You can even buy a neck and shoulder masseur like this to create a real spa experience.
8. Polish
After soaking and these feet are softened, give yourself a decadent pedicure. Of course, it might not feel exactly the same as when you go to the living room, but honestly, it tickles a lot less when you do it yourself! Get oil on these cuticles, eliminate the nails and put your favorite nail polish. We suggest investing in a UV LED nail lamp - it makes Manis and Pedis seem more professional.
9. Have a meal waiting for you
In many spas, you pause for a healthy and refreshing lunch or finish with dinner. After a long day of beauty, you do not really want to eat a heavy meal and fat. You can make a presentation of the afternoon tea of mini sandwiches and small pastries, or have a nourishing salad with a whole grain toast on the side and many fresh vegetables.
