No names were officially cited by the committee, but on the networks, some did not hesitate to play detective. The blogger Aqababe, never far from gossip, threw out a name bluntly: Miss Tahiti. According to him, the candidate would have been on her phone too often, to the point of irritating the supervisors. He even speaks of a “crisis meeting” linked to his attitude. The problem? No proof. And obviously, that makes one cringe.
Hinaupoko Devèze breaks the silence
Faced with growing criticism, Hinaupoko Devèze, aka Miss Tahiti 2025, spoke out in an Instagram story. Far from being discouraged, she responded calmly and ironically that she had loved her stay in Martinique, where she had put her phone aside to fully live this unique experience. The tone is calm, but clear: she completely refutes the accusations.
She continues by recalling that she is currently living a dream, and that she is investing in 100% in this adventure. “Since day one, I have given the best of myself, with respect and kindness towards everyone, especially those around me. » A message of defense, but also of appeasement, in a context where criticism can sometimes go too far, too quickly.
A candidate who wants to stay focused on the essentials
To close his speech, Hinaupoko took the opportunity to recall a very simple, but essential thing: “Behind every screen, there is a human being. » A sentence that resonates all the louder a few weeks before an election where every gesture is scrutinized, commented on, sometimes diverted.
It now remains to be seen whether this clarification will be enough to calm the critics or whether the controversy will weigh on its journey until December 6.
