“I thought: ‘How long will I be able to keep the secret?’, taking into account that 80% of journalists are going to go to my wedding.” With this joke, presenter Susanna Griso, one of the most famous faces on Spanish television, confirmed in early October 2025 that she had become engaged to media executive Luis Enríquez Nistal. Who is Susanna Griso?

Susanna is known for presenting the Public Mirror program since 2006, where she conducts debates and interviews on topics of national relevance. The journalist is one of the highest paid on Spanish TV and has won several awards, including the Golden Microphone. Her style when it comes to dressing has made her a benchmark of elegance, to the point that she has been named “best dressed” many times at the events she attends. Regarding her personal life, she was married between 1997 and 2020 with fellow journalist Carles Torras, with whom she had two biological children, Jan and Mireia, and a girl they adopted in the Ivory Coast, Dorcette. In 2022 she was in a relationship with businessman Íñigo Afán de Ribera, which ended in January 2025.

Who is Luis Enríquez Nistal?

Although he is related to the media, Luis Enríquez Nistal maintains a fairly private profile. The businessman was general director of the Spanish media group Unidad Editorial, where he served as editor of Marca, El Mundo and Expansión. He has been CEO of the multimedia communications group Vocento since 2011 and is currently senior director of El Confidencial. According to the World Association of News Publishers, he has participated as a professor at the Deusto Business School in Bilbao. Susanna and Luis met in 2007 through the late journalist and writer David Gistau. However, by then both were still married and living their own lives, although it is known that they coincided in several events because they move in the same environment and they did form a friendship. It is not known when exactly they began a romantic relationship, only that their first public appearance was made in March 2025, at the ARCO fair in Madrid. Although they had only been in an official relationship for a few months, Luis supposedly proposed to Susanna on a trip they took in July 2025 to Argentina. But it was not until October 8, the presenter's 56th birthday, when the businessman finally gave her the engagement ring. Until now, it is known that the civil wedding will take place in July 2026 on the Costa Brava, a tourist region of Catalonia where the presenter has a house, since she loves the sea.
