In the mid-80s, her voice sounded from Berlin to Kyiv. The name C.C. Catch was familiar to everyone who has ever danced to Eurodisco. Her songs were played on the radio, people danced to them in discos, and girls all over Europe copied her haircut and outfits. Then it seemed that she was born on stage - light, daring, with that very smile that instantly lifted the mood.

Her real name is Caroline Katharina Müller. She was born in 1964 in the Netherlands, in an ordinary family, far from show business. When she was five years old, her parents moved to Germany, where the future star first sang on the school stage. Her childhood dream - to simply sing and make people happy - turned out to be stronger than any circumstances.

In the early 80s, Carolina became a member of the group Optimal. The team quickly broke up, but it was then that fate brought her together with Dieter Bohlen, a member of the famous duet Modern Talking. Bohlen immediately noticed something special in the young singer: freshness, charisma and a voice that was memorable from the first note. He offered her a new name, a new sound and... a new life. Thus was born C.C. Catch - the girl who brought a smile to music.

Success came quickly. The singles Cause You Are Young, Strangers by Night, Heaven and Hell, Jump in My Car became disco hits. Light melodies, electronic rhythm, slightly naive but sincere lyrics - all this made C. C. Catch a symbol of an entire era. Her stage image was impeccable: short chemo, shiny jackets, fingerless gloves, confident gait and look.

After several years of fame, she decided to break up with Bohlen and start on her own. It wasn’t easy: music changed, the world moved into the techno era, but it didn’t get lost. On the contrary, she began to write her own songs, search for a new sound and, most importantly, herself.

Today C.C. Catch is 61 years old and still looks amazing. Her short platinum locks have replaced the once daring black color, and her gaze still has the same confidence. She rarely appears on television, but actively performs at retro festivals, where fans greet her standing up. For them, she is not just a singer, but a reminder of a time when life was simpler and music sounded from the heart.

Caroline lives in Germany, leads a healthy lifestyle, practices yoga, enjoys painting, and sometimes posts warm, sincere posts on social networks. She writes about gratitude, love and freedom. “Age is just a number. The main thing is how much light is left inside,” she said in an interview.

And indeed, this light is in her. He is in her every smile, in every line of old songs.
