The American shores along the east and west coasts are not exactly in perfect condition to accommodate surfers and swimmers this summer. A new Clean water ratio From the Surfrider Foundation warns that more than 100 million beachs will flock "hot spots of bacteria" this summer after a worrying number of positive tested beaches for harmful substances. The Surfrider Foundation prides itself on testing beach waters and other polluted areas - such as rainwater outings, rivers and streams flowing in neighboring beach communities - which are not covered by government and environmental agencies. "These hot spots of beach bacteria represent a variety of recreational waters and access points that are important for local communities, but water quality conditions could endanger public health," explains the Surfrider Foundation.

The Clean Water report is not news for many of these seaside cities, unfortunately.
