During her creative career, Lina Kostenko has become a true legend, and her poetry about love still moves the hearts of readers. And this is not surprising, because the life of the queen of Ukrainian poetry is full of vivid events and secrets.

1. Student love

The first love and official husband of Lina Kostenko was the Polish writer Jerzy-Jan Pakhlyovsky. They met while studying at the Gorky Moscow Literary Institute, where feelings rapidly emerged between them. In the last year, they married, and in 1956 the couple had a daughter - Oksana Pakhlyovskaya. But the marriage did not last long. Lina did not want to move to Warsaw, and Jan did not want to stay in her native Kiev. UK Kostenko wrote: "I love, beloved, Kiev and Warsaw, but the homeland of everyone is one."

2. Love despite a significant age difference

After the divorce, 28-year-old Lina Kostenko ties with the writer Arkady Dobrovolsky, who was 20 years older than her. Their creative union was fruitful - together they created a script for the movie "Check your watches", which released on the screens in 1962.

But these relationships were not easy for the poet: Volvolsky was married and could not divorce, because he had a daughter. That is why Lina Vasylivna has never voiced the details of this novel in public.

3. The love of all life

It is difficult to say how Kostenko's fate would have if it was not for a meeting with true love ... This feeling deserves a separate story. In 1963, Lina Kostenko met with Vasyl Tsvirkunov. She was 33 - she was already a well -known Sixties, independent, divorced, with a sharp character and works that forbidden to publish.

There was 46 Tsvirkunov - he only recently headed the Dovzhenko Kiev Film Studio, had a wife, children, passed the war and lost his foot on the front. Despite all this, he became the main love of the poet. Of all the men in her life, it was the strongest and deepest feelings for him. Their marriage lasted until Vasily's death in 2000.

4. The secret novel

It was said that among the numerous fans of Lina Kostenko was the prominent Ukrainian poet Vasyl Symonenko, who was 5 years younger than her. Although the poet herself, the honorary professor of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, never confirmed these relations, poet Nicholas Som mentioned that Symonenko had strong feelings for her. He called her Kostalin ...

Despite the war, Lina Kostenko still lives in Kiev. It almost does not appear in the public and fundamentally avoids interviews, considering them an empty chat. Her older daughter, Oksana Pakhlyovskaya, lives in Italy and holds the post of professor at La Sapyenz, where she teaches the history and culture of Ukraine. The younger son of the poet, Vasyl Tsvirkunov, is currently living in the United States and works as a programmer.
