Goodwill accused of selling target products at higher prices

A buyer spotted a flagrant price difference during a recent goodwill visit.

Good will is a paradise for frivers looking for fashionable discoveries, but it is also a place where good deals can buy clothes, household items and other necessities at a reduced price. However, although you probably find articles lower than they are in general retail stores, a Tiktker took the platform to note that this is not always the case. In a April 10 video ,, interior decorator Taylor Beagle , which uses the handle @ dab.to.dreamy, shared a recent goodwill experience in which a handbag originally sold at Target was sold at a higher price.

In relation: 5 warnings to buyers of former employees .

Beagle's local goodwill store (it does not specify the exact location) receives and sells articles from Target, she explains in the video. According to her, the products are "new" and labeled as "commercial rescue".

"I do not know if it's like, come back, jerk or something else," says Beagle while picking up a white blurred handbag in the handbag section.

"Remember me," she said in the video. "I'm in good will ... and that's what contrasts me. So I look at the bags, I look at the bags."

She continues by explaining that the bag is brand new and seems to be manufactured by Universal Thread, one of the Target store brands. The handbag is not Also Dear, at a price of $ 9.99, but Beagle has a problem with the fact that the price of Goodwill is much higher than the price of Target - which is always printed on the article.

"This handbag was $ 20 [at Target] and they scored it for the release of $ 6 - $ 6 at Target," says Beagle, holding the sticker of the yellow target before returning it On the other side to show the price of good will.

"Good will sell it for $ 10. Give it a meaning ... Why do they do this? I just sell it for the $ 6. I don't understand," said Beagle.

Beagle did not end up buying the bag, putting it back on the shelf hook.

Better life Contacted Goodwill to comment on the video and their price policy and updates history when we hear.

In relation: Walmart and Target anti-theft measures could be "final nail in the coffin", say buyers .

In response to the video, some commentators have said that higher prices are the reason why they no longer made their purchases at Goodwill - and some have spotted similar differences with dollar tree items and Walmart goods.

"I saw an article of $ 1.25 of Dollar Tree at Good Will for 2.99," said a comment. Another added: "I found Walmart jeans at $ 10 marked for $ 19.99 in Goodwill, I could also [buy] new at this stage." (These tiktors did not specify whether these products were also marked in commercial recovery.)

Others have been sold out by the fact that Goodwill left the clearly lower price of Target to display.

"The prices of good will are crazy," wrote a tiktker. "The fact that they leave original price labels and sell it for more is incredible."

Another speaker tried to give a certain clarity on the situation, saying that they were working in Goodwill and that the company really buys these articles from Target. AE0FCC31AE342FD3A1346EBB1F342FCB

"We had a policy that when we assess the things that came from Target, we had to do so to a certain percentage of the original price of Target," said the comment. "And we also had to make sure that we torn these yellow release stickers."

A blog On the DIY site, House of Hepworths also discusses Goodwill's commercial rescue policy. According to the post, the goods is all that "targets judges damaged or unable to sell" and Goodwill buys these items by the container at a fixed price.

"Sometimes the article is open or the package is damaged. Most of the time, however, the whole decor of the previous season that has never sold on their own shelves. They must get rid of them to make room To new things, "the message explains.
