Czech singer and actress known across generation Helena Vondráčková were born before the hard -to -believe 76 years in Prague. She started her successful singing career in 1964, when she managed to shine in the competition we are looking for new talents, which was then with a little exaggeration, similar to today's SuperStar competition. Just a year later, when the singer was already known throughout the country, she met Marta Kubišová and Václav Neckář, with whom she founded the legendary music trio Golden Kids in 1968. The beginnings of a musical career

Helena Vondráčková has been on top of popularity for many years, specifically since 1968, when she created a successful music trio with Neckář and Kubišová. After the Communist regime "cut" the career of Marta Kubišová for political reasons, Vondráčková embarked on a solo career and was even better. In the 1970s she even became famous abroad, thanks to the support of the then regime, which broadcast it to foreign festivals, for example to Japan, Canada, Brazil or West Germany. In the second half of the 1970s, she won the Grand Prix Award in the Polish Sopot in the second half of the 1970s.

Unlike her colleague, Vondráčková had no problem with the political regime at that time and in 1977 she even reportedly signed Antichart. However, the artist herself denied the signing of the document. Since the 1980s, she has been much more focused on domestic fans, filmed a number of albums and regularly organized a musical tour throughout Czechoslovakia. In addition to musical achievements, she began to appear on television, where she moderated, for example, the TV show We will meet in the limelight. Witnesses and lovers of older films will also recall it in the roles in the comedy Just Leave him, whether she is afraid or in a fairy tale Madly Sad Princess, where she played alongside Mladá Václav Neckář.

Also popular in the 21st century

After the revolution in 1989, Czech popular music was also major changes. In particular, the popularity of musicals has increased, and even in those Vondráčková has been quite successful. It is worth mentioning, for example, its performance in the musical Misery. However, she did not abandon the solo singing career, and continued to release more or less successful albums. Her album Waterfall from 2000, which was modern and contained mostly dance songs, enjoyed great popularity. The song Long Night even became the song of the Year in the Czech Republic. One of the highlights of Helen's international career can certainly be described her concert in the famous Carnegie Hall in New York in 2005. The great events in the singer's personal life were divorce with Helmut Sickel and the subsequent wedding with lawyer Martin Michal.

More often in court than on stage?

However, Helena Vondráčková in recent years knows other than as a singer. Very often her name occurs in connection with various court disputes. One of her first was her critic Jan Rejžek, who stated that Vondráčková owes her popularity to contact with the mafia. The singer Rejžka accused of lies and caught up with the dispute to the Constitutional Court. But he gave the truth to the critic. Subsequently, Vondráčková managed to succeed in a lawsuit with Spy tabloid, who published false information about her husband Martin Michal.

In 2009, the singer lost the court with actress Kateřina Brožová, who touched the statement of Michal that comparing Brožová and Vondráčková is like comparing Trabant with Mercedes. On the contrary, her dispute with the weekly Rytmus of Life was successful, which again reported unverified information from the life of the singer. Vondráčková also ran a very controversial dispute with her former friend and colleague Marta Kubišová, who she sued for the abolished Golden Kids tour for the 40th anniversary of the band's founding.
