After being bitten by the bell snake, the investigators said Robinson had remained calm by calling 911 - something Borrega said he was essential. AE0FCC31AE342FD3A1346EBB1F342FCB

"The worst thing you can do is to excite or walk quickly or run," he told WPBF. "Then the blood circulates more quickly and the venom is distributed more quickly to your body."

If you can go to the hospital or otherwise consult a doctor quickly, you should process your bite with soap and water, then apply a pressure bandage, according to Borrego. But if you cannot go to the hospital immediately, the traumatized doctor advised another protocol.

"If you cannot get help soon with the bell snake, then you should not put pressure bandage because you lock the poison in this end and this will cause more damage in this end," he warned.
