Summer, in the most magical place on earth, is usually teeming with enthusiastic travelers of all ages. With kids out of school and warmer temperatures, heavy foot traffic is almost guaranteed at any Disney location. However, it looks like Disney parks, including Disney World in Orlando, Florida, are in a crisis. unexpected fall in number of visitors. And reports are circulating with a few different reasons why attendance is increasingly dwindling.
Guests who visited these theme parks in July noticed wait times on popular rides were much lower than usual, and Epcot and Hollywood Studios were specifically empty . In addition to the shorter queues, park-goers also noted extreme weather conditions and ticket prices as contributing factors to the ghost town vibe.

In a series of tweets Posted by user @innoventioneast, photos were shared of Magic Kingdom and Epcot on Friday, July 21, and it's clear the usual crowds weren't there. The user shared more photos throughout the weekend where places like Galaxy's Edge and Main Street were completely deserted.
On TikTok, @themessenger collected photos and clips of recent travelers at the Disney Parks where attendance has fallen considerably. She says the conglomerate has seen budget cuts and layoffs in recent months. In fact, the CEO of Disney Bob Iger reduced ticket prices when he reprized the role in November 2022.

July 4 was at a historic low. TikTokeur @wdwnt shared this clip right after the holidays, when they were shocked to see minimal crowds at Walt Disney World's Hollywood Studios.
You can usually expect to see hordes of people getting on and off rides at Disney parks, but this one has no passengers and the ride was open and working fine. But earlier this year, @disneylandtoday captured moments where you could walk without bumping into people and rides where you didn't have to wait.
It's hard to believe that places like Epcot would attract fewer people, especially on a Saturday. But @inniventioneast proved everyone wrong when they posted about the park on Saturday July 22, and there weren't more than a few people in one place at a time.

TikTokeur @all_in_tok mentions that people don't seem to spend their money at Disney World like they have in the past.

On Instagram, user @dana_at_fan_of_the_mouse shared a photo series of Disney World where the parks are virtually empty no matter what time of day. And it seems that the staff is more important than the guests.
There are even fewer visitors to Disney restaurants. TikTokeur @magicalday44 notes that getting reservations for Disney World's popular Hollywood and Vine restaurant on July 8 was much easier than in the past.
No one seemed to take advantage of the after-hours perk offered by Disneyland as a pass add-on. As an Instagram user Highlights from @disneygoofgirl , Fantasyland was still empty late on the night of July 14.
