Artem Kropovinsky , an expert in interior design and founder of Arsight , recommends hanging a bunch of fresh eucalyptus from your shower head with string.

"The shower vapor will release its soothing perfume, transforming your bathroom into a quiet space," he explains.

Eucalyptus leaves contain powerful essential oils which evaporate when they interact with steam in the air, creating the same effect as a diffuser. The best part? Eucalyptus will remain fresh in your shower for two to four weeks.

If you don't like the smell of eucalyptus, Chantelle Hartman Malarkey , interior designer and accommodation expert , recommended Suspended lavender .

It is an excellent alternative to create a spa type atmosphere, especially since a 2022 study I found that the smell of lavender can reduce stress and promote calm.

Use a funnel to pour your favorite oils into the bottle, then add diffuser sticks to absorb and spread the perfume. Place the diffuser on the counter of your bathroom, a shelf or even at the back of your toilet.

The Pot -Pourri - a mixture of dried spices, flower petals and herbs placed in a bag or bowl - can instantly give your bathroom a pretty perfume. Although you can buy pre-fabricated mixtures, Kropovinsky suggests creating yours so that you can personalize it according to your own preferences.

It's quite simple: after the air drying of the materials or the use of silica gel to dry, add six to 10 drops of your favorite essential oil, gently mix the contents, then wait for about a month for The perfumes mix and intensify.

Kropovinsky advises to place the mixture in an open non -mettic container, such as a jar or a glass bowl. "It will serve an attractive piece of decoration and natural sanitation."

Have you probably heard of the bath bombs, but have you ever used their shower counterparts? Shower bombs are one of the favorite ways of Malarkey to improve the smell of a bathroom because they have a much higher concentration of essential oils than bath bombs. When you take a shower, steam releases these oils in the air.

All you have to do is place the bomb on the shower floor, light the water and wait for the steam to spread a delicious aroma in your bathroom.

    7. Make scent toilet paper rolls

Another funny DIY option, explains Kropovinsky, is to make your toilet paper flavored by adding a few drops of your favorite cardboard essential oil inside the roller. (Note: Make sure you don't drop the oil directly on hygienic paper, because direct contact with your skin could cause irritation.)

"The rotation movement that occurs when someone provides hygienic paper will distribute the perfume, keeping the fresh air in your bathroom," he explains.
