A little typo here and there is harmless, but if a description of the list is riddled with errors or is only a few vague sentences, beware.

"This may suggest that the seller hides information, lack of attention to detail or is not represented professionally," explains Ivan Lobo , a real estate consultant in Made in California . "A quality list should provide precise information on the features, the location, the history and the condition of the house."

Jennifer Patchen , A Broker in Opendoor , adds that if the description "seems sloppy and inaccurate", this could indicate to what extent the rest of the house purchase process will be "legitimate".

One way to ensure the validity of an online ad is to consult the notes and opinions of the registration agent. But make sure they have both of these things before continuing.

"A real estate agent with hundreds of five stars but no comments is always a red flag for me," said Rebecca Hidalgo Rains , the CEO and the Director of the Real Estate Company Integrity all stars In Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices in Phoenix, Arizona.

Hidalgo Rains says it may be a red flag that they bought these opinions from an outsourcing service. "Critics of real real estate agents will not only be five stars but are a combination of good criticisms for the most part with some critical reviews."

"Be careful of lists that require species only, requiring large initial deposits, offering financing of sellers with high interest rates or costs, or say that several offers are already on the table," warns Lobo. "It could be scams or pressure tactics to make you act in a hurry without appropriate reasonable diligence."

Samuel Jung , a real estate agent with Century 21 Blue Marlin Pelican , calls rental scams which falsely announce photos of real rental properties. "They often target without distrust tenants by asking for security deposits or rent payments in advance, without providing lease or even access to property."

If a requested price seems too good to be true, this is probably the case.

"This could point out that major repairs or renovations are necessary, or that the property is an uncovered sale or a foreclosure, which could involve legal complications, hidden costs and long delays," notes Lobo.

Likewise, if a house looks well maintained, is in a good location and has a just requested price, there is probably something high if it has not sold as quickly as comparable properties in the region.

"If a house has been on the market for an unexpected time and you can not find anything really harm that ... it may be your red flag," explains Patchen.

In addition to examining the photos themselves, you should also pay attention to the number of photos included in the carousel. Does the living room are missing? Do you only see two of the three bedrooms?

"If a specific area is not shown, it is rarely accidentally omitted - many times, it is eliminated expressly from hiding a space not so effective," explains Patchen.
