During March 13 Episode of the Inside Jeopardy! Podcast, Davies addressed the error, issuing a mea culpa in the name of production.

"From the start, the apology to the whole public," said Davies. "We totally blow it up at the top of the show. We made a horrible mistake, where we revealed the final scores at the end in the opening cup during the Mayim monologue."

The executive producer said that the Flub was due to a "series of errors", as opposed to a single skid. "It is somehow remarkable that they all happened," he said.

The producers said they had to re-film on the opening monologue.

Davies explained that the mixture had started due to the decision to produce "picking up" or re-rehiot, the monologue of Bialik. "[It was] probably the right decision, although neither Sarah [foss], and I do not remember exactly what was wrong with the monologue, why we picked him up," he declared.

According to Davies, there are several different reasons for which production can do so with monologues.
