Until now, 44 incident reports have been filed.

Unless you are fully counting on delivery and dining at the restaurant, you probably spend a lot of time in front of your oven to prepare Family meals . But although you are surely aware of the obvious risks that accompany cooking, you are less likely to worry about the carbon monoxide poisoning potential when you appear in your cookies or pots. Depending on the brand and the model of your oven, however, you may have reasons to worry. The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CSPC) recently announced that around 28,000 Zline ovens were deliberately recalled following carbon monoxide leakage reports. According to the announcement of December 29, the recall affects the 30 -inch and 36 -inch RG zline oven compartment gas ranges (Cards and oven combos that use natural gas), in particular RG30, RGS-30, RGB-30, RG36, RGS-36 and RGB-36 model numbers.

On all models, these numbers are printed on the label at the back of the beach, and for those made after 2020, you can also find the printed model number on a label under the right side of the range, said the CPSC.

The gas ranges have been sold in store and online at large retailers such as Best Buy, Lowe's, Home Depot and The Range Hood Store Nationwide, as well as in line at Build with Ferguson, Costco, Overstock and Wayfair. According to the CPSC, the ranges sold between $ 2,300 and $ 5,000 and were sold from February 2019 to December 2022.

Leaks have forced some consumers to consult a doctor.

As of December 29, Zline had received 44 carbon monoxide emission reports from the oven compartment, according to CPSC review. In three cases, consumers had to consult a doctor.

"At Zline, our absolute priority has been (and will always be) Ensure the security From you and your family, "the company's recall page can be read." Zline has realized that the component of the oven of gas ranges on gas can emit dangerous carbon monoxide (CO) levels while you use, posing a serious risk of injury or death by carbon monoxide poisoning. ""

Even more worrying, carbon monoxide is odorless and colorless, which means that you may not even know if you have been exposed, according to the CPSC. However, headaches, fatigue, shortness of breath, nausea and dizziness can be signs of low to moderate carbon monoxide intoxication. More serious cases will cause symptoms such as mental confusion, vomiting, loss of muscle coordination, loss of consciousness and even death.

With these concerns in mind, the CPSC asks consumers to "immediately stop using the oven compartment of the ranges recalled until free repair is available". The agency confirms that you can continue to use the beach tops, which are not affected by the problem of carbon monoxide because they are configured to operate differently.

The Zline ranges came in a wide variety of colors, especially the mat, the brilliant blue, the blue mat, the Durasnow (an industrial quality stainless steel), the brilliant red, the mat and the white mat. Several finishes were also available, namely stainless steel, black stainless steel and Durasnow.

If you have equaled your model number and your color to that included in the recall but you still do not know if your oven is assigned, there is another key distinction that you can search. According to Zline, the main identifier of affected products is an oven fan button at the front of the stove or the hob, located on the right side of the buttons. If you do not see this button, rest assured that your beach model is not subject to a reminder. Photos of these specific buttons are available on the Zline recall page.

Contact Zline directly for other instructions.

A local technician will contact consumers directly to plan a free service appointment.
