Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal have "faced" the set "Brokeback Mountain", says the director
Ang Lee shared his memories to work with the actors of the 2005 romantic drama in a new essay.
Brokeback mountain was one of the most acclaimed films in 2005, and the roles of Ennis del Mar and Jack Twist remain two of the most memorable performances of Big book and Jake Gyllenhaal . The actors clashed like two cowboys with a matter of several decades in the film adapted from a new one of the same name. In a new test for Empire Magazine, director Ang Lee Looked back on his time working with Ledger, who died in 2008, for the biggest problem of publication actors. The filmmaker spoke of the "friction" that existed between the two main men and how they were able to resolve it. Lee said Ledger and Gyllenhaal had a "styles shock".
In his room for Empire ,, Lee said Ledger and Gyllenhaal sometimes had to work through their differences.
"Regarding Jake, Heath had a very different attitude towards their work," said Lee. "Sometimes there were frictions - no quarrel, but a confrontation of styles. Sometimes I would stage this, but they were both good ways. They always made the effort to find a path."
Their personalities were polar opposites.
In 2009, Weekly entertainment published a story in which various people who had worked with Ledger thought about his career. Brokeback mountain cinematographic, Rodrigo Prieto , also noted how Gyllenhaal and the big book contrast .
"Heath was definitely in a bad mood compared to Jake, who is very sparkling and pleasant," said Prieto. "There were very emotional scenes, and Heath would find it difficult to understand things. It did not come easily. I think there was an insecurity on his capacity as an actor."

Despite this, they have become good friends.
Aside from the "friction", Lee says they had on the set, the two stars loved each other and respected each other. In 2005, Movieweb asked Ledger how it was Work with Gyllenhaal . "Wonderful. "Heath Ledger was a brilliant young actor. God only knows what he would have accomplished later in life. He had so much talent - I'm sure he would have been a great director," said Lee.
