Why Cecily Strong kept her "SNL" leaving a big secret

The beloved member of "Saturday Night Live" made a brutal outing during the weekend.

If you watched an episode of Saturday Night Live Over the past eight years, you know Cecily Fort as a force. A master of characters, funny accents, and comic timing , Strong has regularly been at the front and the center of the most memorable sketches and update guest spots on weekends. But, all of this ended last weekend when the actor made his farewell unexpectedly to SNL after 11 seasons on the show.

The release of Strong was a brutal shock for fans who did not know that she intended to leave the late evening show. Of course, there were rumors that she could leave, like her co-star colleagues Kate McKinnon ,, Aidy Bryant ,, Pete Davidson , and even more at the end of last season.

But, Cecily removed it to the episode of December 17, led by Elvis Star, Austin Butler … And she only revealed her big secret a few hours before the start of the show.

In a new Instagram photo published on December 19 , Strong tried to level up with her fans on the reasons why she kept her release at the fall, explaining that making her public would have added even more pressure on what was already a very emotional decision for her.

Strong wrote in the post: AE0FCC31AE342FD3A1346EBB1F342FCB

"My heart bursts. I have a lot of big big changes of life to unpack, so that's what I can say tonight. 💙

Ten and a half years ago, I got my dream work. The first real day of work, I tried to be very cool and to give the impression that I knew what I was doing and I was supposed to be there. I left that night around 11 years old after saying goodbye to everyone. I was stuck to wander in the building because none of the elevators went to the first floor and I tried so much to avoid going up to the floor to ask for help because I had Already said goodbye !!! I think I went on each floor trying to understand if there was another outing that I was missing. I might even have entered a stairwell. I ended up going back to the floor and my great friend who will soon be great Colin Jost helped me and walked to the secret night elevator. It was as impossible to leave tonight as now. And my great friend Colin Jost ended up helping me again, this time forcing Elvis to sing me (thank you Austin Butler You Absolute Kind and Generous Dreammboat). I am sorry to have been a little calm on this subject publicly. I didn't want additional pressure on something so emotional for me. And I am so grateful that I was able to have these wonderful last shows to help me support and meet and laugh and probably hugging Molly, Marcello, Devon and Michael who, I think, are not only Brilliantly funny but really great humans. I'm ready to leave, but I will always know that the house is there. I had time for my life to work with the biggest people on earth. ""

If you watched Strong's farewell, you were probably as emotional as it was like Butler played by singing Elivs Presley "Blue Christmas" vacation. We can see strongly by holding tears while her distribution comrades joined her on stage for a last arc.

During the weekend update segment, Strong also had a moment to revisit his hilarious Cathy Anne character for the very last time.

In a serious moment, Strong seemed to break his degenerate and degenerate character saying: "I had a lot of fun here and I feel really lucky to have been so much of the best moments of my life in this place with these people as I 'Love so much. I guess take this with a grain of salt that I have dependence problems. "

Strong's career is apparently increasing, with it appearing in Verizon advertisements, its Apple television program Shmiggadoon! (co-star Keegan Michael-Key ), And a film with a familiar sound which is currently in pre-production: Garfield .

Thank you for the end of the evening laughs, Cecily!
