Unfortunately, this relief would be short -lived. John returned on tour to South America, during which he developed a whole new set of disturbing symptoms. He felt sick and "couldn't stop trembling", theRocket Singer remembers his memories. He was returned to the London hospital for evaluation. "I was told that my condition was so serious, the hospital did not have the equipment to face it," said the star, explaining that he had to go to a hospital better equipped to welcome him.

In the hospital, alone in the night's dead, I prayed: please don't let me die, let me see my children, please give me a little longer. " He added: "I had an incredible chance - even if, I must say that I did not feel very lucky at the time."

"In a strange way, I had the impression that the time I had spent recovering was the answer to my prayers: if you want more time, you have to learn to live like that, you have to slow down", he continued. "It was like having shown a different life, a life that I realized that I loved more than being on the road," said John.
