Alexander Skarsgård wins big on the Emmys. His mustache? Not really.
The news of his face hair almost shone his great night.
Sunday night,Alexander Skarsgård Won a well-deserved Emmy for an exceptional support player in a limited series or film, for his nuanced representation of a husband wife in HBOBig little lies.
The first winner of Emmy graciously thanked his co-stars,Nicole Kidman,Reese Witherspoon, andLaura last (Which also won a price for his role in the series), to "make this boy feel like one of the girls".
Although his tribute to the "ladies" of the show and all the "incredible women" of his life was a safe victory, it was not what took place in the center of the night. Unfortunately, it was his new facial hair that stole the projector:
Presumably the Swedish actor, better known for playing the vampire Eric Northman on the series of HBOTrue bloodand the character of the bare torso title in last yearTarzanfilm-door the 'stache for his latest film,The newspaper of a teenager, in which he plays a creep of 70 years in the era. But whatever the reason, the reaction to his new whiskers was not pretty.
Personally, I think it looks like an inspector gadget style street blinker.
Now, some people have admitted that Skarsgard's animal attraction is intense enough to overcome the mustache.
And clearly Nicole Kidman does not feel like giving him a full kiss on his lips when he won, right in front of his real husband. It must have been a fun car at home.
