Tuesday, Peta has published a list of idioms adapted to the animals that we should use to replace idioms of everyday condescending or aggressive animals. "Kill two birds with a stone" thus becomes "feeding two birds with a scone", "" "Beat a dead horse" becomes "feeding a horse nourished" and "take the bull by the horns" becomes "take a flower by the thorns . "

The species, for the report, is a term often used by animal rights defenders who describe discriminatory behavior towards animals on the basis of their species. So, PETA's argument is that the use of these idioms is just as offensive as "racist, homophobic or capable".
Many social media users have been scandalized by the idea that a sentence like "being guinea pig" was comparable to racist, sexist or homophobic insults.
And even if some thought that replacement sentences were a little intelligent ...

As original idioms, a lot of replacement do not look like very good ideas. Why would you feed a horse that was already nourished? The obesity of animals is not a joke, Peta!
