While the Instagram page of Michelle is mainly full of selfies, promotion for future films and activism, the mother of two have just shared a rare photo of herself and his oldest child. June 19, Michelle postedAn image with 28 years Girl Claudia and Legend "on the city with my daughter", followed by a red heart emoji. Michelle started his family when she adopted Claudia in 1993. The actor started the adoption process as a single woman, but at the time, Claudia arrived, she went out in the writer of television and the producerDavid E. Kelleyfor two months. The two married later that year and raised Claudia together. The following year, the couple welcomed their son,John Kelley.

Michelle does not like when people refer to his daughter as adopted.
In 2007, Michelle gave one of the only interviews in which she isTalked about his children. During the discussion, the interviewer ofGood Housekeeping,Liz Smith, says to Michelle she taught her something very important on the tongue around her daughter. Michelle spoke about the challenges of the meeting when Claudia was a newborn.
Meetings in the early stages can be difficult enough about it. Having children has changed his prospects for the better.
Michelle saidGood Housekeeping that having children has changed the way it worked in the world. "One thing that goes well to have children, especially given my career, is that it forces you to get out of your narcissism," Michelle said. "I mean, I'm in a career where my product is me. So, it was good to have something, someone, come and take the focus on me." With regard to concern, change was necessary. "I really need to give me distractions of myself," added Michelle.
