The 20 largest (and most realistic) fought all time

The best Bagarians and Bloods have ever filmed.

If you asked my favorite movie when me this year, I would not have to think very hard about it. In fact, I would not have to think about it at all. The answer is easy: when Keanu Reeves is sent roughly over 100 villainsJohn Wick: Chapter 2 monitoring its cult classic pun-fu, 2014.

Yes, the scene was shocking. But if you look closely Reeves, you would have seen that there was much truth in his movements and techniques. As he saidFitness for Men, In February, he studied Judo and is obsessed with his fight scenes. "I used the term" Superperfect, "he said." As in, "can we getSuperperfect?"" The guy even has a tradition of pre-fight scene: it devours a steak the night before.

Now, I appreciate it more than anyone. I grew up in the Bronx, which meant FistFights several times a week. Later, I became a cop, working in the South Bronx, then overcame be a bouncer in exclusive nightclubs and a bodyguard for experts C-Suite. Just say: I have seen my fair share of the fighting.

I have also seen my fair share of movies. You could say I am an amateur expert on all things Bronson and Stallone, Wayne Neeson. (Seriously: if Harvard had a class called Fight Scenes 101, I could teach it in my sleep.) So when my friendsBetter life asked me to assess my favorite fight scenes, the most brutal and the most realistic of the story, I could not help myself. Here they are. And if you're looking to beat yourself, check out this oldOlympic Judo medalist of the Guide to transform your own physical.

They live(1988)

Who would have thought that I, a guy who has seen all kinds of street fighting - choose a fight with a guy from wwe? But the raw energy and sheer force striking here make it an obvious choice. Look, you can feel each striking land.

19
Saving Private Ryan (1998)

Saving Private Ryan is mandatory viewing by any measure. But even if you care about the history or the great film director, look at this for the fight scene. You can almost feel the knife piercing the heart of Mellish - a bad metaphor for the work and the pain that comes with war.

18
Tough times (1975)

It is Charles Bronson, the terrible tough guys at his absolute best. The physicality of the fight shows a level of emotion, since it has not been reproduced. And in the end, he is in his 50s here and could still hit your ass.

17
Cowboys (1972)

I remember crying in the theater watching this fight. In fact, this is one of the few movies where John Wayne actually dies in the hand of the character of Bruce Dern. To date, Dern says people approaching and reprimand for the Duke killed.

16
Bad day at Black Rock (1955)

Bad day at Black Rock is a classic, and this makes the cut for two reasons. On one hand, this is one of the first films that showed karate as a fighting style. For another, the Spencer Tracy won the fight in an army. A strong arm!

15
Rob Roy (1995)

Butch Cassidy told us earlier, there are no rules in a knife fight. This rule also applies to large knives, also called swords. Liam Neeson, with his particular set of skills, will reinforce this rule in this movie.

14
The equalizer (2014)

At one point, you do not worry about what happens to your opponents. In the film, Denzel is just that - the man with everything to fight, and nothing left to lose.

13
rocky Balboa (2006)

Sly makes this list twice and here's why. Inrocky BalboaThe man is 60 and still strikes more ass kids half his age. Stallone shows us all the way on how to continue to move forward by regularly raising your game to the next level.

11
Darker than Amber (1970)

This is a neat little film of 1970. Analded as one of the heaviest fighting and most realistic ever filmed, it is said that the two actors have refused to pull their punches, to the point where the bones were broken . This shows.

10
Eastern promises (2007)

Fight completely in the buff, Viggo takes two guys superior to that of his fight to the death. You can see that the fighters get really tired throughout the fight, which is exactly what happens in a situation like this.

10
2 days in the valley (1996)

Look Charlez Theron in anything is always a treat. But before she hit the donkeyMad MaxShe spent her cinema debut at the end with TERI's hatching.

9
First (1982)

You can not have a list of fights without includingRambo. As you see a true morphic fear in combat management, Rambo, strategically and systematically, systematically a group of poorly trained officers, including a young David Caruso - well before his timeCSI: Miami.

8
End of the custody (2012)

Since I was a former cop in the South Bronx, I can not confirm or refuse to see something like that, where the officer eliminates his belt and his speed to fight like a man, a naked articular, one on a.

7
Go into the dragon (1973)

This combat scene between two martial arts legends, Bruce Lee and Bob Wall, descends like one of the fighting scenes at the top of all time; Bruce Lee put the bar for each movie of martial arts to come. The reality is that this scene was shot in a continuous plug (because they were not just the stars, they were the fuss and the champions of the karate world). This scene involves a bottle of Bob wall beer, then on Bruce Lee with her. It was not so much a "marker bottle" but a bottle of real beer. Before entering the scene, Bruce told Bob to "go". And that he did. So, in fact, that the bottle cut Bruce deeply, and he responded instinctively (like martial artists naturally ...). Bruce reacted with a kick as fierce to Bob's chest, only when he flew into the crowd (extras), one of the extras broke the arm of the pure force of Bob Wall pushing on him. It does not become more authentic than that.

6
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969)

Butch Cassidy teaches us an essential and too real lesson: there are no rules in a knife fight. Sometimes, as in cases like this, the loser loses the fight even before knowing it.

5
warrior (2011)

An excellent combat scene shows two ways: what you see on the screen and what went to do it. In this scene, it is clear how long and hard Tom Hardy trained - and it's a feat in itself.

4
Blood on the sun (1945)

About 50 years before the UFC, James Cagney fully used complete use of judo, dirty boxing and bare bare foreigners. Although everything is not black and white in a fight (as in this artifact of a scene), Cagney does everything that works well.

3
My bodyguard (1980)

This film brings me back from such memories to me - and not just because it was Matt Dillon's first movie, but because I had the same age as the kid who needed bodyguard. (I was also a victim of intimidation in the same way. Unfortunately, I did not have Adam Baldwin as a safeguard.) What makes this fight scene for one for one for a so- Even is pure clumsiness; Nobody here really knows how to fight, giving him a visceral and realistic feeling.

2
John Wick (2014)

Alas, we are here.John Wick. It is the film that brought Gun-fu (a beautiful mixture of shots and martial arts) in public consciousness. This can be a bit unrealistic, especially given the quantity of guys that he strikes. But who will chat with John Wick?

Not me, that's for sure.

1
Deadly weapon (1987)

Detective Riggs compared to Mr. Joshua - This is one of my favorites of all time. Gross savagery and emotion behind the fight; The fact that the fighters become tired, as they would do it in a real fight; The collateral elements - the mud and vacation ornaments - which are brought; And the creative combination of kicks and punches raising this fight beyond any cinematographic history.
