Here is the foolish time we spend every day from the media

Shocker: You spend less time sleeping than you watch, scroll and love.

Everyone knows that the Americans today spend a lot of time glued to their iPhones, laptops and television screens, but a new study has now revealed how much our technology dependence is out.

This week,Nielsen has published its 2018 Total Hearing Report, who found that American adults spend on average 11 (!!) hours a day consuming media in a form, whether listening to the radio, browse the Internet, watch TV or visit applications. When you combine this number with the eight hours per night, you are supposed to be slept, it means most of us spend two / thirds of our daily time awake in our virtual life instead of our true.

As might be expected, adults aged 18 to 34 are the largest media consumers, spending 150% more time a day with devices connected on television than those aged 50 to 64 years.

None of this is good news. Back in March,a study found that 39% of adults aged 18 to 29 and 36% of adults aged 30 to 49 were admitted to be online "almost constantly". This dependence on technology is considered one of the reasons why the happiness index of the Americans is located at a historical basic, as well as thereason that those aged 18 to 22 quickly become the most solitary demographics in the USA.

Our obsession with the media is also hurting our relationships.A recent study revealed that "Phubbing"-The act of ignoring someone while returning through your phone - causes your link to them to deteriorate slowly.Parents give their tablets to their children as a way to distract them When they launch a crisis of anger, leading them to feel ignored and act later.Netflix kills our sex lifeand a recent disturbing study revealed thatThe shocking number of people admits even to check their phones during sex.

All this affects our health in a terrible way too. Most of us areFall asleep while on our smartphones, which spoil our sleep cycles, descending our longevity, which increases our risk of depression and bipolar depression, and even we weight. Watch screens all day gives us"Col of technology." Online datingdo not do wonders for our mental health. And it's worth remembering thatWatch too much TV can actually kill you.

This is not a bad thing to make sure you are listening to current events and enjoy all the excellent movies streaming services to offer. But our obsession with technology is probably the reason why full consciousness has become such a buzze recently in the well-being community. How can you be "present", if you are still stuck on your digital devices, constantly consume media instead of living your life?
