Here's how many hours you will pass stuck in traffic during your life

Sorry, but a big piece of your days will be wasted behind the steering wheel.

Whether you are working on a mounting string or sitting in a corner desk, chances are you spend at least a part of your shuttle day. As a result, you are also likely to have a good part of your travel time cursing cars in front of you when you expect traffic.

TheUnited States Census Office Reports that the average American spends 26 minutes to work, a silhouette that has increased by almost five minutes since the beginning of the 80s. For those who work 50 weeks a year, it means that nine whole days will be devoted to the shuttle. However, for those in heavier metropolitan areas, the number of hours wasted behind the wheel is even higher.

According toTexas A & M Scorecard of Urban Mobility of the Institute of Transport, the average American to and from an urban center will spend 42 hours sitting in the traffic each year. (If you worked for 35 years and that it remained constant, you will spend more than 61 days stuck behind the wheel. Oy.) While depending on two days while waiting for the Fourbia to decide if it is in fact Switching pathways. Pretty bad, even worse, that's how much this figure grew up. In 2000, the average US Urban could expect to spend only 37 hours of circulation. In 1982, traffic stole only 18 hours per year US commuters.

While all of the urban sprawl to enrich the infrastructure with the number of cars on the road contributes to our long swings, the result of all this time in the car is more difficult. In fact, research published in theAmerican Journal of Preventive Medicine reveals that the subjects of study that came by the car on a daily basis won nearly twice as much weight over a period of five years that those who did not have a car ride.

Fortunately, there is still hope: a 2015 study of theOffice of Labor Statistics reveals that 24% of workers do all or part of their work at home. Better yet, these figures continue to increase, which means that these lucky enough to work remotely can perform the spare tire.
