This epidemic of Covid is a sign of what is coming with schools, says the doctor
The growing cases are inevitable once the schools reopen - this is what a former head of the FDA is the most worried.
As the beginning of the school year 2020-2021 is closer and closer, the debate rage on the question of whether the learning in person should resume. Although children seem less likely to becomeCOVID-19, they can carry the coronavirus (and, in fact, maybe evenmore infectious than adults) And while distance learning has put a strain on many families, experts warn that the reopening of schools could lead to hard-to-control epidemics. This week, a doctor and a former Food and Drug Administration Commissioner (FDA) highlighted the epidemics that occur in the Majeure League Baseball Group as an indication of what might be coming.
Appearing on CNBCSafeAugust 3,Scott Gottlieb, MD, says thatCoronavirus Case Spikes in various MLB teams are "a warning of what could potentially happen" when schools reopen, if there is no plan in place to contain epidemics.

So, how do MLB's struggles relate to the opening of schools? "I think it's a warning for what could potentially happen if we are not very careful with schools," said Gottlieb at CNBC. "The question will become, when do you close the school? And that was really not addressed by the [Disease Control and Prevention Centers (CDC)." TheCDC Guidelines on Operating Schools Include many mitigation strategies, but no indicator of when buildings should be closed again in the case of an epidemic.
Gottlieb indicated that the epidemics of the school will be impossible to avoid, finally leading to tights. The next obstacle, he says, is it "it's going to be really difficult to reopened".
