The classic butter snack is practically synonymous with the cinema night, but if you are about to set up to watch a movie at home, there is a kind of popcorn, you should not be microwave in this moment. The last reminder announced by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) warns that an iconic popcorn option can pose a potentially serious risk for health. Read it to know which popcorn you should not eat now.

Jolly Time has just announced the reminder of its microwave kettle corn.

On May 13, the FDA announced that the American Pop Corn Company, the iconic manufacturers Jolly Time Corn, has voluntarilyReminded Merry Healthy Corn Pop® Kettle Microwave popcorn 100, sold in four pack boxes. The notice of reminder indicates that the product in question was manufactured on January 25, 2021.

For those who seek to check if they bought the affected popcorn, theRecall Display Lists the date the most compared to January 25, 2022 (written at 01/25/2022); UPC EN 2819000141; and the production code as 1025, followed by the time of production, then numbers 3 and 4 (seen here).

No other of the products of Time Jolly or serves are affected by the reminder.

The recalled popcorn can be contaminated by a common allergen.

Jolly Time Pop cornRecalling his healthy Kettle Pop de Maïs 100 on undeclared milk ingredients. Milk is considered one of theEight major food allergens In the United States, with eggs, fish crustaceans, trees, peanuts, wheat and soy. According to the Food Allergen Labeling Act and Consumer Protection (FALCPA), these ingredients must be listed on a product because of the potential reactions they can cause.

"If consumers have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk, they are encouraged not to consume the product and throw it immediately", the notice stipulates.

The reminder arrived when a client informed Jolly Time that core cartons of the kettle were unintentionally filled with another popcorn flavor containing milk.

Allergic reactions to milk can go from the mild knob to death.

According to the Mayo Clinic,Symptoms of milk allergy May vary, with some reactions occurring in minutes after hours after consumption. Immediate symptoms could be hives, wheezing, itching or tingling feeling around the lips or mouth, swelling of the lips, tongue or throat, coughing or shortness of breath and vomiting. The longer reactions to emerge are abdominal cramps, aqueous eyes, flowing nose and free stools or diarrhea, possibly with blood.

In the worst case, a milk allergy can cause anaphylaxis - a serious or fatal allergic reaction that comes in a few seconds or minutes of exposure to allergens.

Fortunately, as of May 13, Jolly Time received no report of reactions relating to popcorn recalled.

The popcorn was distributed to the stores in 16 states.

The recalled product has been distributed across the country to select retailers and warehouses in 16 different states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah , Wisconsin and Wyoming, according to the FDA. No other state received the popcorn recalled.

The selected retailers who got the product are food stores, independent shops, Dillon stores, listening, Ralphs and Theisen Supply Inc.
