More than a dozen types of frozen shrimp have been recalled because of Salmonella.
On June 25, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced that nine different frozen shrimp products were to be recalled due to aSalmonella epidemic. Then on August 13, the FDA was nailed onMore products that could also be contaminated With Salmonella. At this point, on two dozen frozen shrimp products manufactured by Avanti Frozen Foods India Limited India were recalled. The products were sold by a handful of large retailers at the national level.

If you have one of these frozen shrimp products, wash everything that touches them.
If you have one of the products listed on the reminder, the CDC tells you not to eat them. You should throw the objects or return them to the store where you bought them. In addition, you must "wash objects and surfaces that may have affected the remembered products using hot soapy water or a dishwasher" to be extra safe.
